Embryo ProgramHere at North Florida Holsteins, we take pride in the genetic advancement we are making. But this is only possible due to our embryo transfer program. Last year we put in just over 5500 embryos and are on track to put in 7000 this year. In order to produce this many embryos, we routinely send heifers to TransOva in Maryland. They are housed, aspirated, and fertilized at the station. Overnight shipments of fresh embryos every week along with shipments of frozen embryos are put in by our trained staff on site.

Pushing the Future of Holstein GeneticsAt North Florida Holsteins, we strive to breed for the future of the Holstein breed in commercial production. Our ideal Holstein cow for commercial production is one that is low in stature, high in components, and excels in health traits like daughter pregnancy rate, conception rate, and stillbirth.
