The newest barn completes the dairy’s mission to house the entire milking herd in barns, with none on lots.

  • The newest addition is a 750 foot (2-1/2 football fields long) tunnel ventilation barn.  This barn holds 900 cows in 6 rows of freestalls.  60 – 51 inch fans exchange air every 40 seconds. The newest technology in combination misting/spraying is being utilized.  Grooved belting covers the feed bunk alley.  There are 175 feet of water troughs on each side of the barn, or for each group of 450 head.

  • Two 640' barns are cooled by 38   51" fans powered by 1 horsepower motors. Air is exchanged in these barns every 62 seconds.  There are 600 freestalls in each of these 4-row barns.

  • 1-280' barn has 30  48" fans powered by 1 horsepower motors. The air is exchanged in this barn every 47 seconds.
